We made a budget day cruise from Stockholm to Mariehamn and back. 5½ hour each direction in a 11 story ship with lots to do onboard. Cost SEK 25 ( $ 3.50 )! Most of the travel is through the Stockholm archipelago - slow to not harm shores with waves from the ship too much.
Mariehamn is in Åland which is a group of islands in the Baltic. Belongs to Finland, but still outside Eeuropean Union. This means that tax free shopping is allowed on board. Two ferry companies travel to Finland and stops by in Mariehamn. For the cruise we made we change ship in Mariehamn to go back with the ship that comes from Finland.
